Chris Brown Released From Jail

Singer Chris Brown was released from jail early Monday, Los Angeles Sheriff's deputy Tony Moore said.

The 25-year-old singer had been in jail since mid-March, after he violated his probation by getting expelled from court-ordered rehab for violating its rules.

Brown was on probation for his 2009 assault on Rihanna.  On May 9, Superior Court Judge James R. Brandlin sentenced Brown to a year in jail after Brown allegedly attacked a man outside a hotel in Washington, D.C.  However, time already served, his court-ordered rehab and good behavior reduced Brown's sentence to 131 days.

E! Online reports that Brown's probation has been extended until January 2015.  Brown must submit to random drug testing, undergo therapy and complete the 800 hours of community service he has left.

Brown, who took to twitter after being released, also has to go to trial for the D.C. assault, which will happen later this year.
