Ah, back in the day, we used to carry huge camcorders that fit whole VHS tapes in it to record our favorite moments. And whether you used an RCA, Panasonic, or a SHARP camcorder, you had a date stamp and an awesome filtered-looking recording that you could pop right into your VCR.
Nowadays, carrying around a giant camcorder isn't ideal, but we love taking video with our phones. To make this a little bit more fun, Rarevision created a simulated video recording app called "VHS CAMCORDER," which tries to replicate the same type of feeling you had back in the 80's/90's.
The functions are pretty much the same as a retro video camera in terms of zooming, and you can even program a date stamp in the corner, to really make it look authentic.
You do still have the option to make the video live up to technical expectations, between resolution and speed:
But it does result in some pretty sweet clips! The app is available only through the iTunes App Store, which can be found here, but has not been released to Google Play, as of yet. But if you still want a retro vibe as an Android user, there's an app for that.
