Cyber Monday Not A Fun Day For Target

Target shoppers hungry for Cyber Monday deals took to social media to blast the retailer about website problems.  PayPal had issues as well on the year's biggest day for online shopping.  What did Target have to say about the outage?

A spokeswoman for Target claims the site didn't crash.  Jenna Reck said because of the huge number of shoppers, the company slowed down to aid as many people as possible in getting the cyber deals. Reck says there were so many shoppers that the company had reached an online level "twice as high as our busiest day ever."

Last week, Target announced that  among other big discounts, online shoppers would be able to take 15% off everything on the site on Cyber Monday.  That was a first for the company.

Target wasn't the only company with web troubles. Neiman Marcus' site was down most of Black Friday.  Victoria Secret and Foot Locker have had outages as well.
