It's tiring just thinking about taking everything out, wiping down every corner of the fridge then putting everything back, but scientists say it's a must since a certain section of your fridge is one of the dirtiest areas in your entire kitchen: the vegetable drawer.

That's right...vegetables are awesome and so good for you, but the vegetable drawer in your refrigerator can be overrun with dangerous bacteria. According to the Daily Mail, scientists say that thanks to our tendency to accidentally store veggies until they become a spoiled mess, the vegetable drawer can contain nearly 750 times more bacteria than what's considered safe for humans.

That makes it a prime spot for E.coli, listeria and salmonella (aka one of the most common causes of food poisoning here in the U.S.).
